The Rebels

Whooosh! The blistering heat from a meteor almost hits the Ford family.
“Tommy run for safety while your Mother and I hold off Jorgon’s Army.” said seven year old Tom’s Parents.
“No I’m not leaving you!!” said Tom.
“Go we’ll be fine!!!” said Tom’s Dad.
Tom ran for his life but was being chased by JorgonBots. He tried to zig-zag throughout the torn up neighborhood. He was finally caught and sent to the main tower (which is now the evil lair of Jorgon and his prison). Jorgon sent Tom to the prison under the lair. Tom saw his friends Mike and Kate huddled up in the corner along with other kids trying to get warm.
“W-W-Wassup T-T-Tom? said Kate and Mike. The all huddled up until JorgonBots took them to their Parent’s Execution.
COM To see your’re Pearrents Die”said the JorgonBot.

The Lucky One

Do any of you know about a boy named Jake? Maybe you know him as the Lucky One. Well he is a thirteen year old boy with a regular Dad but a has an unusual Mom. He also has a short temper and is up for any adventure. You still don’t know him? Well let me tell you about him in a story.
There was a boy named Jake. He was living a normal life, but he didn’t know his Mother was a leprechaun until a couple days later when she was only two inches tall. He was shocked but not that freaked out like an average kid might be. He wasn’t panting (like a fat guy after taking two steps.) His Dad finally calmed him down and sat him down. “I wish we could’ve told you earlier honey. I am a leprechaun and you are a descendant.” said Jake’s Mother.
“So that means I’m a leprechaun to?! That’s awesome!!
Jake went out and got 10 ice creams, two baby chicks, and told all his friends he was having his lucky party at chucky cheese’s. While he was at chucky cheese’s he got into a fight with a four year old and got beat up by the four year old’s birthday possy.
“Don com bac here no mo ugly dookie face” said the little kid.
“Shut up you mama’s boy poo-poo face, dookie head” said Jake.
The little boy ran crying to his Mother.
“That’s how you do a captain Jim Bob Job!” said Jake.
Jake was banned from Chucky Cheese’s for a month and could not be in ten feet of another kid. He was escorted home by Police.
You're in big trouble mister!" said Jake's Mom.
Jake didn't want to hear his parents yell. So he interrupted them.
“I wish you guys would shut-up!” said Jake.
All of a sudden he couldn’t hear his parents anymore. He looked down at the coin and the face on gave him a wink. It wasn’t just a lucky coin...It made wishes too!!!

Hunger Games Movie Review

Yesterday I went to see the movie The Hunger Games and it was a very good movie. It told the whole book and I was impressed of how well the knew the characters backgrounds. It was also very action-packed which is the favorite thing I like in movies. From a rating of 1-10..........I give it a 11.

Rash Blog Post

The book I'm reading now is called Rash. The main character Bo is awaiting trial for somewhat giving people a rash. I think the principal at the school is taking it to hard on Bo just because the United Safer States of America (USSA) is trying to be safe. If Bo does end up in jail his Grandpa will probably help break Bo out. Can't wait for more action!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The World As I See It

The world as I see it is not very nice,
People drinkin’ and smokin’ man that’s not right!
Gangs sellin dope at the end of a street,
People too afraid to call to the police.

People treat people with no respect,
That’s why some fights end in death.
People think that’s fun and they think it’s cool
The world as i see it should get rid of these fools.

The parents are the ones that don’t treat them right,
That’s why kids don’t come home some nights.
They not layin’ in someone else’s bed,
Nah...It’s because they dead.

Step Up!!!-Championship

“Threeeeee! Jaylon Neal from downtown”, said the announcer. Wassup it’s me again and yes we are losing. We really don’t start games well. Anyways, “Come on guys let’s get our heads in the game and beast on this team!!”, I (Xavier) said. My team and I were losing 49 to 30. I was furious, this had to be our biggest deficit in the whole season, and this is the most important game of the whole season. “Well Xavier we will have to bring the team to another win.”, said my teammate Kyle. “ We’ve done it once so we can do it again.”, I said as the clock went to zero. Angrily, the whole team went into the locker room with our heads held down.
“Come on guys your actin’ like you just lost your best friend. Hold your heads up high you haven’t lost yet. I want dogs I don’t want cats I don’t want all that ‘meow’ nah forget all that i want ‘roof roof’, I want dog guys  now lets go out there and beat these guys.”
That gave us some momentum to start scoring. We came back and we were down by two points. The score was 79-77, we were still down and the Celtics had the ball, with ten seconds left. They tried to pass it to their guard, Jaylon and tried to take a shot, but Kyle packed his shot and I stole the ball and passed it to Kyle with 2 seconds left and he took a deep three pointer and.........SWISH!!!! He made we won our Championship Game with Kyle’s buzzer-beater three pointer. We won the game 80-79
“Yay Lakers!”, said the crowd.
We were given the Championship trophy and Kyle and I got our individual trophies. Kyle was awarded MVP of the game with 12 assist, 33 points, and 9 rebounds in the Championship game. I was awarded the MVP of the whole season with 13 assist, 37 points, and 8 rebounds. We were also invited to the the league’s first  ever All-Star Game and we would play with Jaylon. He scored 30 points in the Championship Game. Kyle and I were ready to play with Jaylon and take home the All-Star trophy.

ELA Showcase Post

My Three Favorite Post:
"Step Up!!!", My Trip To D.C, and Xavier's Bruised Finger
"Step Up!!!" would also be an example of my creativity because it made me start trying new things like adding dialogue into that story.
Xavier's Bruised Finger  shows proof that I'm a thinker/learner because I thought of describing how my ride to D.C. was.
My Trip To D.C. shows evidence of my growth as a writer because this story had alot of adjectives describing how my finger looked when it was bruised/jammed in.

"Step Up!!!"

Twoooooo points!!!!! Cavaliers 40 Lakers 29.
“Dang man they can’t be scorin’ like that. Come on guys!!! We can make a comeback.” I knew we couldn’t the other team had too much momentum and kept scoring. My team and I were getting beat by our rival. It was time for me (Xavier) to step up but we would have to do it after the half as the clock went to zero. BEEEEEEP!!
“Come on guys,” said Coach. “We need some new plays to win this game.”
My friend Kyle and I were furious we were trying real hard. We each had 14 points but we were still down by double-digits.
BEEEEEP!!! Time for the second half of the game. Luckily We got the ball to start the half. I dribbled down the court and passed it to Kyle. He took a three and made it! That gave us the momentum to start coming back. The score was Cavaliers 58  Lakers 57. We had ten seconds to score. We got the ball and Kyle threw me an ALLEY-OOP it to me with two seconds in the game. I was being guarded by the best two guys on their team, but I wasn’t scared I went up for the ball and......
BOING!!!!!!!.....BEEEEEEEEP!! The ball went in we won the game 59-58!!! I made the buzzer-beater dunk.
             “Yay Lakers!!”, said the Crowd.
“Nice dunk Xavier”, My dad told me.
We won the Conference Championship. The finals will be next week against the Celtics.
“Come on guys, I said, We need to practice. We got a huge game next week.”

My Trip To D.C.

One January day I was in my room watching tv. Then my Mom and Dad called me into their room. They said we were going to take a vacation somewhere. I had heard about the Martin Luther King Monument in Washington D.C. My Aunt lived in Maryland which was only twenty minutes away. We all agreed and got our things ready for the trip. I packed some clothes, my games, and a book to keep myself busy on the road. We also packed some snacks for if we got hungry. We were all set and we took off.
While we were on the road we stopped to see my sister at the University Of North Carolina In Greensboro. They call it UNCG for short. She wasn’t there so we decided we would come back after the trip. We also passed a city named Graham. My Dad told me that Kannapolis High School came here to play in the Championship game against Graham High School when he and my Mom were there.. He told me they had lost but he didn’t know by how much.
We finally got to my Aunt’s house in Maryland! I survived a seven hour ride. We got our clothes and electronics out the car and came inside. It was 9:00 so there was no way we were going to the monument today. We planned to go see it tommorrow after we went to church. It was 1:00 pm the next day and we were ready to go see the monument. We made it near the monument but we saw everything else like the white house, Abraham Lincoln’s monument, the Capitol, and finally the Martin Luther King Jr. Monument. That was the best day I ever had and I got a lot of pictures. The next morning was the day we had to leave. While we were leaving we did some last-minute sight seeing.
We arrived back home safely and will be able to tell my friends. That was a vacation I will never forget. I had a lot of fun and I can’t wait to go back.

Xavier's Bruised Finger

One hot summer day my Dad and I went outside in the front yard to play football. While we were playing I asked my Dad if we could kick field goals instead. He agreed, so we got set and were ready to kick. My Dad knelt down and held the football while I got into my kicking stance. I ran and kicked the football as hard as I could. It went really high into the air. But something happened; I kicked my dad's finger on accident. While the ball was in the air I tried to catch it. I caught the ball but it popped my finger. So my Dad and I went inside the house laughing about our aching fingers.
While we were inside the house we checked out our fingers. My Dad's finger was barely bruised. My finger was swollen purple and jammed. My Dad told me I would have to pull my finger back into place. I knew it was going to be tough to do this. I had to "man up" like my Dad always told me, so I started to pull my finger. My family was near me to give support if I needed it. I was nervous but I kept my focus on my finger. For nearly five minutes, I walked around pulling my finger, which sliding and loosening. I was almost ready to give up then....!!POP!!
It finally popped back into place! Finally the aching and blood-rushing pain was over. After a couple minutes the swelling went down and my jammed finger went back to normal. For being tough my family let me eat some ice cream for dessert.
